| circa -104000 to -80000 | The Arkati Lumnis and Imaera aid the elven race to again thrive in the forests |
| circa -80000 to -60000 |
The elves begin to cultivate land and organize hamlets with "hard" dwellings of wood and stone Those elves choosing to keep to the "old ways" become commonly known as "sylvisterai", meaning "one who embraces -- or marries -- the forest" Imaera teaches these "sylvans" the ability to channel knowledge from one generation of councillors to the next as the high council of hierophants is born |

| circa -45400 | The sylvan high council of hierophants decides, after 10 days of deliberations, upon the creation of a permanent home city, and thus Ithnishmyn comes to be, along with the distinctive sylvan guild system |

| circa -36600 |
Belief that their kind could well become "corrupted" by the ways of the "political elves", as well as continued disappearance of sylvan children into the black-market slave trade of the elven cities, prompts the high council to consider ways of dealing with "the elven problem"
Eislemar Nathlai proposes that the council allow no more emissaries into Ithnishmyn |
| -36567 |
Ithnishmyn is completely dismantled, leaving no trace of its existence within the forest Records of the race's early past, in the form of scrolls and illuminated hides, are buried in amphorae in a deep cavern nearby the dismantled Ithnishmyn The sylvans, divided into seven groups, slip away into the forest |

The Eranishal, an elite band of sylvan scouts and warriors, is formed under the command of Oriahn Delsechal to investigate the Despana threat Becoming convinced of the seriousness of that threat, Oriahn makes contact with the elven contingents fighting Despana, shocking the elves into the realization the syvlans still exist in force Oriahn pledges the aid of the sylvans to the elves fighting Despana's forces |
| -15490 to -15180 | The sylvans fight on the elven side during the Despana Wars as "The Wood Guard" |
| -15195 | Allied with a top-notch army of Faendryl elves, the Eranishal legions rout a significant portion of Despana's hordes at the Battle of Harradahn |
| -15188 |
The sylvan army join their Faendryl allies on the wooded slopes surrounding the valley on which stands Maelshyve Keep Almost all of the three companies of the Eranishal are engulfed in fire by two demons that escape the control of the Faendryl sorcerers |
| circa -15180 |
Oriahn and the small remainder of the sylvan army journey back to Nevishrim On the journey home, the sylvan army comes upon a "demon hill", caused by the one of the escaped demons from Maelshyve Oriahn and three companions confront the demon alone; only two of the four survive, with Oriahn gravely wounded in the battle, but the demon is vanquished At the gate of Nevishrim, Oriahn orders his litter be stopped beneath the arch, saying he cannot enter the city as he fears the shard of evil within him will destroy his people Oriahn tells the sylvans to leave Nevishrim, to seek seven great trees and there build a new home away from the "Cities of Elves and war and greed"; then he dies |
