PANARKATI FESTIVAL[Hall of the Mind]
The two halves of this room have been covered--ceiling, walls, and floor--with
black granite and grey marble. Meeting
seamlessly in the middle, the two kinds of stone have been carved into gently
sloping, crenulated curves. Set against
the backdrop of a bas-relief carving in the grey northern wall is an altar of
misty white vaalin, while an altar of snowflake
obsidian lies at the foot of the granite southern wall. You also see the Zenaxa
disk.
Also here: Laeyandra, Mitheirien,
Nebekk, Zenaxa, Ellistra, Aydan, Arnaster who is sitting

You say, "Please have a seat."
Aydan bows to a vaalin altar.
Nebekk sits down.
You say, "Aydan is our
lecturer this evening."
Zenaxa sits down.
Ellistra sits down.
Arnaster smiles at Aydan.
You say, "He is going to talk to us on Lumnis."
Nebekk snickers.
You say, "Please give him yer
full attention."
Mitheirien sits down.
You say, "And hold all questions and comments until he
opens the floor to them."
You nod to Aydan.
Mitheirien turns an inquisitive
ear towards Aydan.
Aydan smiles.
(Iscikella moves to the back of
the room.)
You sit down.
Aydan says, "Thank you for
coming this evening."
Zenaxa leans forward.
Aydan says, "I figure I'll
start off by giving a little information about myself, just so you know who it
is doing all the talking and why."
Aydan grins.
Laeyandra turns an inquisitive ear
towards Aydan.
Nebekk folds his arms over his
chest.
Nebekk shifts his weight.
Aydan says, "My name is Aydan Mursilis. I am a paladin of
Lumnis, though my official title within the temple
would be Arbiter."
Aydan says, "I am from the
city of
Aydan says, "As a child I was
raised at a
Aydan says, "It was also
during this time that I was set on the path to become a paladin, instead of a
priest as they had been raising me to be."
Aranrhod just arrived.
Aranrhod bows.
Aranrhod sits down.
Aranrhod gives you a friendly hug.
Aydan says, "But, I'm not
here to talk the entire time about me, of course. I'm here to speak about Lumnis."
Aydan smiles.
Zenaxa folds her hands in her lap.
Aydan says, "I've thought
about it quite a bit recently, and I think I'm going to go about this in two
ways. First, I will speak a bit about Lumnis herself,
and afterward I will speak about the Spheres of Knowledge."
Ellistra gazes fondly at Aydan.
Aydan says, "As most probably
already know, Lumnis is the Arkati
presiding over Wisdom and Scholarly Knowledge."
Laeyandra nods to Aydan.
Nebekk fidgets.
Aydan says, "She is the wife
of Koar, though she does not take the title of Queen
of the Arkati for herself."
Aydan says, "She is
worshipped by many who consider their life's pursuit to be one dedicated to
furthering knowledge."
Aydan says, "But unlike Fash'lo'nae, She does not advocate reckless attempts to
gain knowledge, nor is She one to advocate bringing harm to others to gain that
knowledge."
Aydan says, "To be more
precise, it is Her belief that the means may not
justify the end, in the pursuit of knowledge."
Aydan says, "Followers of Fash'lo'nae would be very quick to point out that such a
belief is a limitation."
Nebekk grins evilly.
You smile at Aydan.
Aydan says, "But, there are
reasons why She teaches such restraint."
You smile at Aranrhod.
Aranrhod grins at you.
Aydan says, "She is known to
be one of the first of the Arkati to openly walk
amongst the lesser races, even in the days of the Drakes."
Aydan says, "She and Imaera
were both known to teach the lesser races much of the basic knowledge they
needed to make their lives easier."
Laeyandra cocks her head at Aydan.
Aydan says, "According to
legend, Koar watched Her
from afar during all of this, and obviously approved of what He saw."
Aydan smiles.
Aydan says, "It's also said
in legend that the care Lumnis felt toward the lesser
races is what led Eorgina to take notice."
You cough.
You nod.
Aydan says, "Sowing the seeds
for what would later become a bit of a conflict that would grow between
them."
Ellistra furrows her brow.
Aranrhod leans forward.
Aydan says, "After the
Ur-Daemons invaded our world, the Arkati were sent to
the moons by the Drakes."
Aydan says, "By this point, Koar and Lumnis were already wed,
but this was also when you could say an 'official' division between the Arkati of Liabo and Lornon was finally established."
Aydan says, "When the
Ur-Daemons were finally destroyed and the Arkati
returned to the world, this division threatened to lead to war between the
pantheons."
Aydan says, "But before that
finally happened, Koar was able to forge an uneasy truce
between both sides."
Aydan says, "A truce which Lumnis is said to have played a major part in."
Aydan says, "You see, Lumnis takes on the role of a counselor to both Liabo and Lornon."
Laeyandra looks thoughtfully at Aydan.
Aydan says, "She is known to
advise all of them, and this allowed Her to help both
pantheons reach an agreement that stands to this day."
You nod to Aydan.
Aydan says, "Of course, such
a thing would've required great patience."
Aydan says, "And that is
something She has in great abundance."
Aydan says, "She is, first
and foremost, a teacher."
Aydan says, "And even when
angry, will not openly show that anger."
Aydan says, "Instead, she
will be disappointed."
Aydan says, "Much like a
mother who is upset with her child."
Aydan chuckles.
Aranrhod grins.
Nebekk snickers.
Aydan says, "And I think many
people can attest that having your mother be disappointed in you is far worse
than having her angry with you."
Aydan grins.
Zenaxa smiles at Aydan.
Laeyandra grins at Aydan.
You chuckle at Aydan.
Aranrhod smirks.
Arnaster nods.
Aydan ponders.
Aranrhod says, "I am always
good."
Aydan says, "I think now I'll
explain a bit about the Spheres of Knowledge, and see if I can utterly confuse
you about it."
Aranrhod examines her fingernails.
Aranrhod ducks her head.
Arnaster starts chortling.
Nebekk snickers at Aydan.
Laeyandra grins at Aydan.
Aranrhod smiles at Aydan.
Zenaxa leans forward and rests her
chin in her hand, a thoughtful expression on her face.
Nebekk steeples his fingers in his lap, quietly observing his
surroundings.
You snicker at Aydan.
Aydan says, "The Spheres of
Knowledge are often represented by five conjoined circles, and is part of the
symbol that She has taken for Herself."
Aydan says, "The red sphere
is of Planar knowledge."
Aydan says, "The blue sphere
is of Spiritual knowledge."
Aydan says, "The black sphere
is the knowledge of Chaos."
Aydan says, "The green sphere
is Elemental knowledge."
Aydan says, "And finally, the
white sphere is of Order."
Aydan says, "While each
sphere individually corresponds to a specific form of knowledge, it must be
stated that they cannot stand alone."
Aydan says, "However, many
have spent their lives trying to understand how they are connected."
Aydan says, "And Lumnis is the only one known thus far to truly understand
them."
Aydan says, "One of the
reasons so many have difficulty understanding is because you simply cannot be
told the clear answer to such a question."
Aranrhod smiles quietly to
herself.
Aydan says, "And Lumnis is aware of that."
Aydan chuckles.
Aydan says, "Though I'm sure
most would say it'd be so much easier if clear answers were given."
Aydan says, "But the point is
that you must reach understanding on your own."
Aydan says, "In working to
reach that understanding, you prepare yourself to be capable of comprehending
the end result."
Aydan says, "An example would
be in being told something you choose not to believe."
You cock your head at Aydan.
Aydan says, "Nobody enjoys
being told their wrong. Something nearly everyone has done has been to deny the
truth that you may be wrong about something."
Aydan says, "I know I'm no different."
Aydan shrugs.
Aydan says, "But it is much
easier to come to terms with something if you are prepared for it
beforehand."
Laeyandra ponders.
Zenaxa shifts her weight.
Aydan says, "But back to the
connection between the spheres..."
Aydan says, "As I said, they
cannot stand alone without the others. Lumnis' symbol
always shows them connected in some manner."
Aydan says, "The first sort
of connection many notice is Order and Chaos."
Aydan says, "Many people form
their entire philosophies around Order and Chaos, turning it into a belief that
it really stands for Good and Evil."
You cock your head.
Aydan says, "It goes beyond
that, of course."
Laeyandra turns an inquisitive ear
towards Aydan.
Aydan says, "Order, in its
simplest form, would be that everything follows a clean process, or ought to
follow such a process."
Aranrhod leans against the north
wall.
Aydan says, "Discipline and
dedication."
Aranrhod just pushed the hood of
her cloak back off her head.
Aranrhod folds her arms over her
chest.
Aydan says, "But Order would
also encompass law as well."
Aydan says, "Most civilized
folks would agree there needs to be laws to govern the people."
Laeyandra nods to Aydan.
Aydan asks, "But how many of
them would truly wish to follow strict order?"
Aydan says, "Order on its own
creates tyranny."
Aydan says, "And that happens
to be the domain of Eorgina."
Aydan hums quietly to himself.
Zenaxa acts puzzled.
You chuckle at Aydan.
Nebekk steeples his fingers in his lap, quietly observing his
surroundings.
Aranrhod snickers.
Aydan says, "Chaos though, is
against such strict process."
Aydan asks, "But is it
inherently darker or evil?"
Aydan says, "Chaos is simply
the opposite of Order."
Aydan says, "And if Order is
capable of being what many would consider evil and tyrannical, Chaos can be
liberating."
Aydan says, "Ask Zelia about what chaos does for liberating someone."
Aydan chuckles.
Aranrhod grins at Aydan.
Aydan says, "Chaos cannot
stand on its own, though, much as Order."
Aydan says, "But there are
three more spheres as well."
Aydan says, "Spirit tends to
encompass the intent of all things."
Aydan says, "It gives us life."
Aydan says, "But it gives our
feeling toward that life as well."
Laeyandra furrows her brow.
Aydan says, "And gives the
intent on how to use what is available to us. In regard to Lumnis, the knowledge that we are capable of
learning."
You lean back.
Aydan says, "Now, I am not an
elementalist, and will never claim to be one, so I
will say my complete understanding of all things elemental in nature is nearly
nothing."
Nebekk grins at Aydan.
Ellistra smiles at Aydan.
Laeyandra grins at Aydan.
Aydan says, "Elemental
knowledge creates the basics for what exists in the world."
Aydan says, "Order applies
that knowledge to give it form."
Aydan says, "Planar
knowledge, the final sphere, holds the other four together as a sort of final
rule that establishes them as final."
Aydan says, "An absolute, you
could say."
You nod to Aydan.
Aydan says, "The reason why
things work the way they do, and that they'll continue to work that way."
Aydan says, "Personally, that
one and the Elemental spheres are completely lost to me."
Aydan chuckles.
Nebekk snickers.
Ellistra ponders.
Aydan says, "But as I've said
several times already, they cannot exist alone."
Aydan says, "Something most
of you have been hearing lately is how 'balance was restored' by that angel of Gosaena."
Laeyandra nods.
Arnaster chuckles.
Aydan says, "If you limit
'balance' as a conflict between Liabo and Lornon, perhaps it was."
Aydan says, "But Lumnis views balance differently."
Arnaster cocks his head at Aydan.
Aydan says, "I'm going to go
into a bit of personal thought here, just so you know."
Zenaxa lets out a sigh of relief.
Zenaxa smiles.
Aydan says, "If there are
five spheres of knowledge, then balance too must consist of five forces at
once."
Laeyandra furrows her brow.
Aydan says, "Limiting it to
good against evil, or light against dark, would be akin to taking two and
ignoring the other three."
Aydan says, "But, it's my
belief that instead of a balance of scales, balance itself is depicted more in Her symbol."
You nod to Aydan.
Aydan says, "The spheres are
connected, and can never be closer or further to another sphere than they
already are."
Laeyandra furrows her brow.
Aydan says, "They are always
together, never apart."
Aydan says, "An imbalance,
then, would be an absence of one, or one holding more sway over the
others."
Aydan says, "I think I've
probably done a pretty thorough job of confusing everyone now."
Arnaster chuckles.
Aranrhod grins at Aydan.
Nebekk snickers.
Ellistra grins at Aydan.
You grin at Aydan.
Aydan says, "Or I've skipped
over something I wanted to say and can't remember it now... so.. I think I'll just give the floor over to everyone for
questions."
Arnaster begins chuckling at Aydan!
You smile at Aydan.
Nebekk says, "You say that in
the five spheres, there is balance. You also said that the Planar
sphere is there to "govern" the other four, so to speak. I have a
hard time seeing how that is balance."
Laeyandra grins at Aydan.
Nebekk removes a spiral-carved
blue carmiln runestaff from
in his dusky runestaff harness.
Nebekk leans on his runestaff.
Mitheirien takes a drink from her
hot cocoa.
Zenaxa asks, "You mention
that yer perceprion of
balance wold be that th
spheres arent any farther apart or closer together
than they already are.... woldnt they all be equally apced in their conection with
each other?"
Aydan says, "It isn't there
to govern the rest as much as it exists to state that they exist that way for a
reason."
Zenaxa blushes a glowing shade of
red.
Zenaxa says, "Sorry."
Aydan asks, "It establishes
the rules, but what point is there to have those rules if nothing else is
there?"
You smile at Zenaxa.
Nebekk says, "I'm also a bit
curious as to what power the Planar sphere represents;
as far as I know, it belongs to the Gods alone."
Nebekk says, "Because it is
supposedly off-limits to mortals, the quest for complete knowledge in Lumnis' eyes is a futile one."
Aydan says, "The sphere
doesn't belong to them alone because the planes existed before the Arkati."
Aranrhod says, "The quest is
not a futile one... it is a never ending one."
Aydan says, "And knowledge of
the planes is NOT off-limits to mortals."
Arnaster nods to Aranrhod.
You say, "There is -- frankly -- no such thing as
complete knowledge. So
aye, never-ending."
Aydan says, "Otherwise there
would be no summoned demons."
Nebekk scratches his chin.
You say, "But mortals will never have complete
knowledge."
Ellistra agrees with you.
Nebekk says, "Hmm...I always
pictured the demons being associated with Chaos."
Ellistra says, "I would think
the Arkati would fall short on that as well."
Aydan says, "Planar knowledge
is more aligned with elemental knowledge, and like I've said, that goes beyond
me."
You nod to Ellistra.
Nebekk nods to Aydan.
You say, "As did the Drakes."
Aranrhod nods.
Ellistra says, "It's what
keeps life interesting though."
Ellistra grins.
Aydan says, "Demons may be
chaotic beings, but they do exist within a form of hierarchy."
Arnaster says, "You cannot
have absolute knowledge if things are always happening."
Aydan says, "Which means
there is order with them."
Aydan shrugs.
Nebekk ponders.
Ellistra looks thoughtfully at Aydan.
Nebekk says, "That is a good
point."
Nebekk grins at Aydan.
Nebekk leans on his runestaff.
Zenaxa asks, "So you think it
is correct for lumnis to bein
the Liabo sect?"
Aydan says, "But with the
quest for knowledge being an unending one, that is
what Lumnis is known for best in these days."
Aydan says, "She doesn't walk
openly amongst mortals as it is said She did at one
point."
Zenaxa says, "Do not so."
Zenaxa blushes a glowing shade of
red.
Aydan says, "But She does
give that little bit of encouragement someone might need to continue their
pursuit of knowledge."
Nebekk says, "I still believe
that the quest associated with Lumnis is very
limiting."
You chuckle at Nebekk.
Aranrhod raises an eyebrow.
Aydan says, "A whisper in the
ear, a touch on the shoulder, usually just what someone needs to continue
on."
You say, "It isn't."
Nebekk says, "There's no
adventuring, no excitement."
Ellistra looks thoughtfully at Zenaxa.
Aranrhod says, "I can assure
you it is not."
You shake your head.
Arnaster snorts.
Aranrhod chuckles.
Nebekk grins evilly.
Arnaster says, "Just because
we don't risk others doesn't mean we don't risk ourselves."
Arnaster nods to Nebekk.
Speaking to Nebekk, Aydan says, "If there were no adventuring or
excitement, She wouldn't have paladins."
Aydan winks at Nebekk.
Laeyandra smiles at Aydan.
Nebekk says, "Sounds perfect
for Academy students, but for those who truly desire to test the limits of
their being..."
Arnaster grins at Aydan.
Nebekk grins evilly.
You quietly whisper to Aydan,
"Don't forget to Zenaxa's question too."
Nebekk says, "I cant picture Lumnis followers
making truly great strides in the fields of knowledge."
Aydan asks, "As for Lumnis being in the Liabo
pantheon?"
You laugh at Nebekk!
Aydan says, "She saw fit to
align herself to Liabo."
You say, "Ye picture wrongly then."
Arnaster nods to you.
Nebekk grins at you.
Speaking to Nebekk, Ellistra says, "I think the thing you're seeing is
that most of her followers make those strides privately and in a personal
manner, without teling the world at large about
it."
Ellistra ponders.
You say, "Remember that those of Liabo
care more for mortals."
Ellistra says, "At least from
my own observations."
You nod to Zenaxa.
You say, "Whereas those of Lornon
do not."
Aranrhod nods to Ellistra.
Arnaster asks, "As far as the
Liabo pantheon, she is married to Koar,
is she not?"
Aydan nods to Arnaster.
You say, "And Lumnis
definitely cares for the nortal races."
Arnaster nods to you.
You say, "Mortal races that is."
You cough.
Zenaxa says, "Howvere she counsels those of lornon. ."
Arnaster nods.
You say, "She does not refuse counsel to any."
Arnaster says, "She freely
gives knowledge to any who ask."
Aydan says, "Also remember,
when She chose to join the Liabo Arkati,
it was during a turbulant time."
Speaking to Ellistra, Nebekk says, "Very true. But very rarely are those
strides interesting, and can make noticeable changes."
You say, "That does not mean she agrees with their
philosophies."
Arnaster snorts at Nebekk.
Ellistra ponders.
Nebekk says, "There is just
no growth, no evolution."
Nebekk grins.
Aydan says, "After the
Ur-Daemons were defeated, She worked with the rest of
the Liabo Arkati to help
the lesser races that remained."
Speaking to Nebekk, Ellistra says, "That would depend on who's point of view you're going with. I'm sure they find
them plenty interesting."
Ellistra grins.
Arnaster asks, "Why is it so
hard to believe that if we don't put others at great risk, we cannot
learn?"
Aranrhod says, "I can say
that Lumnis saved me from myself... so to
speak."
Speaking to Nebekk, Ellistra says, "Just because you or I might not find
something of interest, it doesn't mean that the person learning and seeking
doesn't."
Speaking to Arnaster, Nebekk says, "It doesnt
always have to be about others. But if you're not willing to take a risk, at
least for yourself, you cant go very far, and are most
likely repeating the work of someone else."
You say, "There is much growth and evolution. Lumnis, ye know,
has been one to reveal many truths. She
did so regarding the Vvrael, if ye know it not."
You say, "It was not Fash'lo'nae
who provided that counsel; it was Lumnis."
Arnaster nods to Nebekk.
Speaking to Zenaxa, Aydan says, "Just because you may have opposing views,
such as those of Lornon and Liabo,
it doesn't mean you can't talk to them."
Arnaster nods to you.
Nebekk agrees with Aydan.
Zenaxa asks, "What of the
knowledge that IS created through pain of others.. and risk. Are
followers to ignore the knowledge found?"
Speaking to Nebekk, Arnaster says, "Risks are not forbidden."
Arnaster shrugs.
Ellistra grins.
Aydan says, "If that
knowledge is truly detrimental to mortals, Lumnis is
said to have gone out of Her way to prevent it from
spreading."
Speaking to Zenaxa, Nebekk says, "That knowledge tends to be found accidently. Though i'm sure it
does happen now and then amongst Lumnis
followers."
Nebekk grins at Ellistra.
Aydan says, "Out of the care She still holds for mortals."
Arnaster nods to Aydan.
Nebekk winks at Ellistra.
Zenaxa ponders.
Ellistra gives Nebekk
a little prod between the shoulder blades.
Arnaster says, "But if it
were learned, I do not suspect any would ignore it."
Ellistra chuckles.
Nebekk grins.
Aydan asks, "How often does
it turn out that someone learns something they wish they hadn't?"
Aydan asks, "And manages to
unlock some great evil?"
Aydan says, "That's about a
monthly occurance anymore."
Nebekk says, "Happens all the
time. With each new discovery, it opens new paths of thought."
Nebekk says, "Though it doesnt always have to involve hordes of evil
creatures."
Aydan says, "Things like that
were hidden and locked away for a reason. When it comes to restraint, such
things are the reason for it."
Nebekk snickers to himself.
Ellistra ponders.
You say, "Sometimes it is simply a question of the time
to know."
Aydan asks, "And when you
keep pushing yourself to such extremes, what happens when you've overextended
yourself?"
Arnaster agrees with you.
You say, "Not that it will never
be known."
Aydan says, "Restraint allows
you to be able to enjoy the benefits of your struggle."
Speaking to Aydan, Ellistra says, "I tend to wax philosophical and find
men myself."
Ellistra ducks her head.
You say, "For an Arkati,
there is more time than we can measure."
You exclaim, "We tend to want things NOW!"
You chuckle.
Zenaxa agrees with you.
You say, "An Arkati can see
beyond now."
Zenaxa smiles.
Ellistra winks at Aydan.
Arnaster says, "And they have
the time to wait and know when the best time is."
Laeyandra ponders.
Speaking to Ellistra,
Aydan says, "Usually when you're half
asleep."
You nod to Arnaster.
Aydan winks at Ellistra.
Nebekk says, "The truly
intelligent would never do that. Just as on the battlefield, one would never
try magic which they do not have the energy for, as well as take on more
opponents than they can handle."
Ellistra hugs Aydan,
who wraps her in a warm embrace.
Speaking to Nebekk, Aydan asks, "Then why does it happen so often?"
You cock your head at Nebekk.
Nebekk says, "Yet, they way I
see it..."
Arnaster begins chortling at Nebekk.
Ellistra says, "I don't agree
with the whole "Now" approach myself."
Arnaster says, "I do it all
the time, although not usually on purpose."
Speaking to Nebekk, Aydan asks, "You're not going to call everyone that
makes a mistake a total idiot, are you?"
You ask, "Oh?
Then I take it ye believe the ancient Faendryl unintelligent?"
Nebekk says, "I tend to see
most people follow the beaten path, when it comes to battle."
You say, "Good to know."
You chuckle.
Nebekk chuckles.
Speaking to Aydan, Nebekk says, "That's not true; Mistakes happen."
Ellistra says, "Most people
do that in all aspects of life."
Ellistra nods to Nebekk.
Speaking to Ellistra, Nebekk says, "Not all."
Nebekk grins.
Ellistra says, "Of course. I
said most."
Nebekk says, "For instance,
you were told most likely that at the beginning of your career, rat hunting was
the way to go."
Speaking to Nebekk, Aydan asks, "What's your thought on emotions?"
Aranrhod says, "Show me a
perfect mortal and I will direct you to the alter of Zelia."
Arnaster begins chuckling at Aranrhod!
Ellistra grins at Aranrhod.
Nebekk says, "Some however,
can choose the less traveled path, and try something like thyrils
in the Landing, or the giant ants."
Ellistra gives Nebekk
a rather puzzled look.
Nebekk says, "Just as the
same with knowledge."
Nebekk says, "The way I see
it, Lumnis followers are the rat hunters."
Nebekk grins.
Aydan says, "And then again,
not everyone limits their entire life to aspects of hunting creatures."
You look at Nebekk and shake your
head.
Speaking to Nebekk, Ellistra says, "Your metaphore
didn't do it for me."
Ellistra ducks her head.
Nebekk chuckles.
Speaking to Nebekk, Aydan says, "And I'll have you know, I hunted in the
graveyard. I never set foot in the catacombs."
Zenaxa says, "I dn consider myself a rat hunter at
all."
Zenaxa shakes her head.
Ellistra says, "I sat outside
here and healed."
Nebekk grins at Aydan.
Ellistra ponders.
Ellistra says, "Didn't hunt
for... years."
Nebekk says, "Hmm...I guess
that was a bad metaphor."
Nebekk idly scratches himself on
the neck.
Nebekk coughs.
Aydan says, "Wasn't one I'd
use."
Aydan grins.
Ellistra looks over at Nebekk and shakes her head.
Laeyandra grins.
Aranrhod says, "You are
trying to place knowledge in a neat little package."
Ellistra says, "Not
necessarily, just wasn't one I could relate to."
Zenaxa says, "I believe th path to Lumnis and knowledge
is a personal quest.. people
learn differently."
Ellistra grins at Nebekk.
Aranrhod says, "And it cannot
be."
Aydan nods to Aranrhod.
Laeyandra nods to Zenaxa.
Speaking to Aranrhod, Aydan says, "And in turn, he'd be limiting it."
Nebekk ponders.
Aranrhod says,
"Exactly."
Aydan nods to Zenaxa.
You say, "I suppose the difference is in essence, that Lumnis followers respect the spheres that
is the interconnection of knowledge.
That one thing fits into another and that for something to be revealed
the pieces must fit correctly."
Zenaxa says, "I believe she
wishes us to consider all aspects to learn as much as we can."
Nebekk says, "I suppose it's
something I placed upon myself."
Laeyandra furrows her brow.
Nebekk chuckles.
Nebekk idly scratches himself on
the neck.
Ellistra ponders.
Ellistra asks, "If I may
interject?"
You say, "Rather than just that one piece and not
knowing the connection, running with it as if it is whole, when it is only
part."
Ellistra glances at Nebekk.
Nebekk grins at Ellistra.
Ellistra says, "Back to your
earlier comment and questions."
Nebekk leans on his runestaff.
Aydan says, "I apologize for
not being able to simplify my thoughts to make them more understandable. They
do, of course, look all picture-perfect in my mind. Everything just gets lost
in the transfer."
Ellistra says, "One other
thing I've noticed is that followers of Lumnis tend
to seek those things that affect the emotions and "soul" if you will,
whereas those of Fash lean more towards those things
that stimulate the intellect alone."
Arnaster begins chuckling at Aydan!
Arnaster nods.
Nebekk ponders.
Aydan glances at Ellistra.
Ellistra glances at Aydan.
Aydan says, "There's a reason
why I'm engaged to her."
Aydan points at Ellistra.
Ellistra blushes a delicate shade
of pink.
Arnaster chuckles.
Speaking to Ellistra, Nebekk says, "You make a good point. Lumnis is known more for her wisdom, while my patron
represents sheer intelligence."
Aranrhod smiles.
Ellistra nods to Nebekk.
Ellistra says, "I see both as
having their pros and cons, but er..
I'm not the religious one here."
Ellistra grins.
You chuckle at Ellistra.
Aydan chuckles.
Arnaster asks, "Shouldn't it
be noted, however, that Lumnis also holds most
knowledge?"
You nod to Arnaster.
Ellistra asks, "Why?"
Ellistra asks, "Why does one
have to be "better" than the other?"
Ellistra says, "That's what I
don't get."
Aydan says, "I doubt She knows everything."
You say, "It's not a case of better."
Nebekk says, "Wisdom would
be, perhaps, benificial to a king trying to rule his
kingdom well, while the intellect would be used by a wizard trying to roast a
wraith medium-well with a minor fire spell."
Nebekk snickers.
You say, "Koar himself noted
that they were equal in knowledge."
Aydan says, "What She is known most for is the understanding of it."
You say, "Their approaches are different."
Arnaster says, "As it was
said, nothing can know everything. That we know of."
Ellistra nods to you.
Speaking to you, Ellistra says,
"But if you say, my Arkati knows more than
yours, it's going to be interpreted as better."
Ellistra flashes a quick grin.
Nebekk chuckles.
You say, "Never said that myself."
Aydan says, "Or Liabo being stronger than Lornon."
You chuckle at Ellistra.
Nebekk says, "I really dont think that is the case."
Aydan says, "Or better."
Ellistra chuckles.
Aranrhod says, "They all have
their place."
Aydan nods to Aranrhod.
Ellistra nods to Aranrhod.
Aydan says, "And they're
there for a reason."
Arnaster says, "Similar is
the fact that Kai and V'Tull battle to a
stalemate."
Nebekk says, "It can never be
proven, unless we can witness Lumnis and Fash'lo'nae fight in a mystical duel perhaps."
Nebekk says, "But that will
never happen either."
Nebekk grins.
Speaking to Nebekk, Arnaster says, "Which would never happen."
Arnaster chuckles.
You say, "Ah, but they would be too intelligent to do
that."
You wink at Nebekk.
Nebekk says, "Though I must
say, I would give it all to see that."
Aranrhod grins.
Nebekk cackles!
Aydan says, "At least, He
would be. Old man, and all."
Arnaster ponders.
Aydan hums quietly to himself.
You say, "There is no doubt each acknowledges the other
as an equal."
Ellistra smiles at Aydan.
Nebekk nods to you.
Aydan says, "Frail
bones."
Arnaster ponders.
Arnaster says, "But..."
Arnaster rubs his chin
thoughtfully.
Arnaster nods.
Arnaster says, "Nevermind."
Nebekk says, "I see them as
rivals."
Aydan nods to Nebekk.
Aydan says, "They are."
Aydan says, "And it has to be
said too that rivals does not mean enemies, either."
You say, "They became rivals, yes, because their
different approaches made them so."
Nebekk nods to Aydan.
Nebekk says, "Of
course."
Speaking to Nebekk, Arnaster says, "I see them as parallels that intersect
in unpleasant ways some times."
Aydan says, "Though they
certainly do oppose one another quite often."
Zenaxa says, "As the spheres
cannot exist without each one present and affecting.. the patheons also feed from one another, To bring the pantheon back to Unity,, would
perhaps be the physical representaion of the Sphere
enacted."
You say, "But that does not mean they do not respect
the other's abilities."
Aydan says, "Something else
about rivals, too."
Nebekk says, "I apologize,
but I have to be going now. Which is a real shame too, argh."
Nebekk sighs.
Arnaster nods.
Aydan says, "Rivals tend to
have a bond closer than brotherhood."
Speaking to Aydan, Nebekk says, "Thank you for a great lecture, even if
it was about Lumnis."
You say, "Well, I am about to wrap up this panel I'm
afraid."
Nebekk winks at Aydan.
Speaking to Nebekk, Ellistra says, "Thanks for bringing your thoughts. It
was fun."
Aydan chuckles.
Arnaster chuckles.
Aydan bows to Nebekk.
Nebekk waves.
You say, "As there is another yet tonight, which is
already late."
Laeyandra turns her shoulders to
the left in a long, slow stretch.
Mitheirien nods to you.
Arnaster says, "Thank you for
the panel, paladin."
Speaking to Aydan, you say,
"Thank ye for lecturing this eve."
