Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.

This huge, circular cavern glitters pink and gold and green around the edges, fading to sparkling white in the center. In the middle of the room, you see a round pool full of milky liquid, its surface disturbed by the drops that drip off of a great white stalactite hanging from the center of the ceiling. The PLOP, PLOP, PLOP echoes throughout the room and beyond. You also see a crystal golem.

Rose quartz flows across the ceiling, dripping down to the floor in huge pink columns that look almost liquid. Olivine carpets the floor like fresh grass, crunching under your feet as you cross the room. You hear a dripping in the distance, but with all the echoes you can't tell which direction it's coming from.

The hard-packed dirt and dull grey stone that form the walls in so much of the mines are nowhere to be found here. Instead, outcroppings of crystals of every size and color dazzle you, glinting with light from an unseen source. Quartz, citrine and amethyst glow gently, bathing you in jewel-like hues. You also see a large fissure leading up into the roof of the natural crystalline dome.

A large pile of rocks is carefully stacked against the northern wall of the cavern. The rocks have been sorted by size and what appears to be color as well. There are empty sacks on the floor which are in good condition. You also see a cave troll.

The north-south passage continues but a wide opening in the wall on the east side of the tunnel shows a wide opening to a natural cavern. There are small rocks strewn about the floor but none of any size. You also see a troglodyte.

The tunnel slopes slightly upward towards the northern end and you can hear the sounds of fluttering wings coming from the north. The floor of the passage is slippery and there is an unsettling absence of rubble here.

This tunnel is quite narrow, following what must be a fully-mined vein. Timbers shore the roof securely, but it seems the workers stopped expanding the passage much further than the veinal flow. You also see a cave gnome.

A large natural cavern starts to expand as you step amid piles of rock debris. The north wall has been chipped and hewn up to the edge of the crevice. The black maw of a chasm before you is broken only by a single rotted plank that bridges it.

The walls of the cavern contain many exploratory digs which revealed no signs of the minerals that the people were searching for. Other deeper veins have been worked until they yielded no more traces of the mineral wealth.

A swirling grey-blue mist slowly fills the area. It begins to spin faster and faster, congealing into a large upright disk. The mist slows its spinning and within the swirling vapors you can make out an opening.

You tap a blackened metallic sphere.

Thurfel slings a small coral shield over his shoulder.

Goeffrey nods.

Atlanteax steps out of the swirling mist.

Kalishar searches around for a moment.

Grandevr steps out of the swirling mist.
The swirling mist begins to speed up as it spirals back into the opening and fades away.

A horrible sensation wracks your body, the metallic sphere trembling slightly in your hand. What could only be described as a feeling of pure malevolence runs through your veins.

The circular altar has been crafted from a single large piece of stone. Atop the altar, nine round indentations are spaced equidistant about the perimeter. There is also a small, perfectly round hole cut in the direct center of the obsidian. Grooves lead out from the hole to each of the nine bowl-like indentations. Three depressions bear flickering crimson spheres.

Sansil gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

The bustling town comes together in this square. Halflings dressed in varying fashions stand about, some chattering happily, others reclining on cloaks laid on the ground. One ancient halfling leans against the base of the large ice statue of a mule, snoring blissfully. A feeling of community pervades the area, putting you immediately at ease. You also see some manna bread, the Wulfguy disk, some woth flower, some wolifrew lichen, some reinforced leather, some wolifrew lichen, an elk hide quiver, a chipped brick and a carved ice bench with some stuff on it.
