[Pinefar Trading Post, Greatroom]
Shining wood floors and a beamed ceiling distinguish the spacious room. An impressive rock fireplace dominates the back wall, flanked by a wide staircase leading to an upper floor. Before the hearth sits a tawny leather sofa with a variety of armchairs sitting in attendance around it. Rugs scattered across the plank floor add tones of coral, blue and red to the warm ambience. All along the walls, paintings compete with windows offering views of the snow-bound countryside. You also see a pair of wide double doors, a pine barrel, a large pine cupboard, a staircase and a basket of sticks.
Also in the room: Lady Aysia, Darjun who is kneeling, Camelryder
Obvious exits: east, west, northeast, northwest.

The thick odor of burning sulfur wafts into your nose as you sense a familar feeling prying upon your mind.

Kurut offers you a stained rod. Enter ACCEPT to accept the offer or DECLINE to decline it. The offer will expire in 30 seconds.

Darjun says, "tougher than it looks"

Darjun grumbles.

Kurut says, "holds 16 charges of disarming enchantment"

You ask, "for me?"

Kurut nods.

You accept Kurut's offer and are now holding a stained rod.

You wave your stained rod around.

You raise your stained rod skyward!
You become calm and focused.

You put a stained rod in your lockpick case.

You kneel down.

Having discovered a trap on the strongbox you begin to carefully attempt to disarm it...
The darn thing is built too tightly. You can't seem to get the trap disarmed without setting it off by accident!

Darjun asks, "Kurut, can I steal disarm enhance from you?"

Kurut says, "give a go"

Darjun gestures at Kurut.

Warding failed!
As Darjun concentrates and begins chanting, a luminescent aura lashes out to encircle Kurut.
Kurut gasps in agony as the aura completely envelops him. The aura grows brighter then disappears in a brilliant flash. Darjun seems to glow with power.

Darjun gestures.
Darjun becomes calm and focused.

Having found a trap on the strongbox, Darjun calls for silence as he begins to attempt to disarm it. Everyone holds their breath...

Darjun lets out a flaming volley of invective at a plain brass strongbox.

You rub Darjun.

A loud voice booms within your mind, "I have returned once again. Do you still believe you can avoid me forever within these cold lands?"

Whine
How can they be so mean to you?!

Having found a trap on the strongbox, Darjun calls for silence as he begins to attempt to disarm it. Everyone holds their breath...
Darjun looks up with a big grin on his face!

Kurut grins.

You exclaim, "Yes I can Avoid you!"

Darjun exclaims, "finally!"

The fire has almost died away, only a few flames totter about like old men seeking the youth they have lost.

You stand back up.

Kurut just grabbed a wooden stick from the sticks.

Darjun says, "all set Aysia"

You exclaim, "I've gotta get higher!"

Kurut tosses some wood into the fire and watches as the flames leap higher.

Aysia grins.

Whimper
Poor baby!

Kurut just grabbed a wooden stick from the sticks.

Kurut tosses some wood into the fire and watches as the flames leap higher.

Aysia says, "This one needs lightning."
Kurut just grabbed a wooden stick from the sticks.

Kurut tosses some wood into the fire and watches as the flames leap higher.

Aysia says, "It has a tough rod trap."

Aysia offers Darjun an engraved fel strongbox.
Darjun accepts Aysia's fel strongbox.

Darjun begins to meticulously examine an engraved fel strongbox.

Darjun says, "ew"

You say, "we've gotta find those Vessels"

"You cannot flee from me. I shall find you and feed upon your lifeforce. While my power is strong, our bond makes me stronger still."

You do your best impression of a grizzly, scaring people for miles!

You say, "You can not have me"

You exclaim, "nor feed on me!"

You raise your fist in a display of defiance.

(Opalina cover's her ears)

You ask, "is anyone going to the rift?"

You say, "please I need to get to koar's altar there"

You say, "I need to go to pray to Koar."

You say, "I need his help"

Aysia says, "I can take you up there in a few minutes."

"If you continue to try and resist me, you shall find all that you care for smoldering at my feet. Embrace that which I am and they shall be spared."

You say, "If I feed you you will kill them anyway"

You exclaim, "No!"

You exclaim, "I will not submit to your lies!"

You exclaim, "I need to go now!"

Aysia blinks at you.

You hear your own faint thoughts echoing in your head:
"anyone going to the rift?"

You hear your own faint thoughts echoing in your head:
"Please it's urgant"

Aysia asks, "Who are you talking to?"

Aysia gazes in wonder at her surroundings.

You say, "The essance is talking in my head"

You say, "it's coming"

The fire crackles and flames jump as a warm glow settles in on you.

Aysia asks, "Essence? What essence?"

You say, "The council"

Aysia asks, "Them? They're coming here?"

You say, "the one's traped in the tomb"

Whimper
Poor baby!

You nod to Aysia.

Aysia reaches out and holds your hand.

You say, "One of them is looking for me"

Aysia says, "Well, we'd better hurry."

Lady Aysia's group just went northeast.

[Pinefar Trading Post, Lawn]
The snow-covered lawn stretches up to a rambling log manor that blends into the surrounding forests with an uncanny grace. The building looks inviting and cozy despite its sprawling size. A front porch wraps around the entire facade of the building, and a number of stone chimneys stand guard on the roof, each spouting an aromatic plume of smoke. Stone steps lead up to the porch, flanked by a pair of fanciful carved drakes.

Obvious paths: north, southeast.

You exclaim, "I need to get up to Koar's shrine!"

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

Aysia asks, "Weapons out?"

Lady Aysia's group just went southeast.

[Arctic Tundra]
Snow continues to fall heavily, hiding what little there is to be seen. A line of mountaintops are faintly visible to the west and south. Weaving between snowdrifts, the trail leads northeast and southeast.

Obvious paths: northeast, southeast.

A cloud of dense silvery fog suddenly appears. The fog quickly dissipates to reveal Darjun.

Aysia clasps Darjun's hand tenderly.

Lady Aysia's group just went northeast.

[Top of the World, Frozen Tundra]
Stretching higher than can be seen, the great frozen peak rises into the sky. The southern face appears treacherous at best, jagged ice and rock rise in a steep slope until fading out of sight. The swirling snow and wind keep the vision a blur, but it appears to meet the tundra to the east. You also see a sabre-tooth tiger.
Also here: Darjun, Lady Aysia
Obvious paths: south, east, west.

Darjun asks, "who is looking for you Opalina?"

Lady Aysia's group just went east.

[Top of the World, Aenatumgana]
The makeshift trail that leads back to the tundra comes to a halt at the bottom slope of a gigantic glacier, dwarfed only in size by the mountain itself. Further up the glacier, the going gets even rougher, with piles of rock frozen in place to mark the way across the ice. Deep rumbles shake the ground as the ice grinds its way down the steep grade.
Also here: Darjun, Lady Aysia
Obvious paths: south.

Aysia says, "I hope you can climb well."

Aysia points at an icy slope.

You say, "the Council in Icemule have escaped"

Gracefully, your feet skip across the short protrusions of the slope. Before long, you find yourself standing at the top.

[Top of the World, Aenatumgana]
The great glacier grinds its way down the canyon, pulverizing rock and mountain alike. An icy slope serves as the leading edge to the mighty frozen river inching its way towards the flats of the polar cap. Deep tracks in the permafrost hint at creatures eking out an existence in this bitter climate.
Obvious paths: northeast.

Aysia just climbed up an icy slope.
Darjun just climbed up an icy slope.

Aysia clasps Darjun's hand tenderly.

Lady Aysia's group just went northeast.

[Top of the World, Aenatumgana]
The great chasm turns into the mountainside, wedging itself in between two tall bluffs, creating a small ledge along the southern wall. A small footpath follows the overhang created by the massive cliffside, edging right up against the deep canyon. Icy spots glisten brightly as light bounces off the far side of the wide crevasse, the only cheery sight in this otherwise bleak wasteland.
Also here: Darjun, Lady Aysia
Obvious paths: north, southwest.

You say, "I am spell less"

Lady Aysia's group just went southwest.

[Top of the World, Aenatumgana]
Wind driven flurries of snow keep vision poor. Further down the southern face an immense arch is barely visible through the snow. A narrow trail follows the base of the cliff wall, starting at an icy slope then running towards the northeast. The slope climbs upwards among the cliffs until it is lost in the clouds.
Also here: Darjun, Lady Aysia
Obvious paths: northeast.

Aysia points at an icy slope.

Aysia confidently climbs up the slope. Within a short time, she has reached the top.

Darjun confidently climbs up the slope. Within a short time, he has reached the top.

Confidently, you begin to climb up the slope. Within a short time, you have reached the top.

[Top of the World, Aenatumgana]
Bitter gusts of wind drive clouds of loose snow up from an icy slope to the south. The slope descends amidst jagged cliffs, at the bottom of which the faint image of a trail can be seen. Overhead, large snowdrifts threaten to dislodge at the slightest opportunity.
Also here: Darjun, Lady Aysia
Obvious paths: northwest.

Aysia reaches out and holds your hand.
Darjun joins Aysia's group.

"I shall be visiting you soon. Do not try to hide for the longer you hide, the more destruction I shall spread. Embrace that which I have." The voice trails off and you sense the presence has subsided.
