[Silvermule Gaming Hall, Library]
The Library is lined with ceiling-height bookcases. Each shelf is filled with a variety of leather-bound tomes, some thick, others thin, but all obviously unused. The feature which is receiving the most attention in this richly carpeted room is the paneled cherrywood bar, which stands off to one side. You also see a framed menu.
Obvious exits: east.

Vonka says, "Yer tol' me dat Thurfel said he didn' have no wife."

You nod to Vonka.

Vonka looks rather confused.

You say, "Yes, I told ye that."

You say, "and I said I didn't know if ye would believe me."

You say, "but I told ye what I asked and what was said."

Vonka furrows her brow.

Achillea says, "Vonka, when Thulevier took the orb, he merely said vengeance is his, and Thurfel would die"

Vonka says, "Yer keeps hintin' at sommit else."

Achillea says, "it was Thurfel who spoke of how you and the town would be destroyed"

You say, "Vonka, I'm not hinting."

Vonka asks, "So, he ain' gonner sucked me all out?"

You say, "Thulevier liked the dead."

You say, "Has always liked the dead."

Achillea says, "Thulevier did not utter a threat about either you or the town"

You say, "he had no wife."

Vonka cocks her head at Achillea.

You say, "His interest was elsewhere."

You say, "I don't think that's hinting."

You cough.

Achillea says, "so says Thurfel, who ha salways been the model of integrity"

Achillea smirks.

Vonka just hugged Mnar.

Vonka says, "Okies den."

Vonka says, "I won' worra."

Aranrhod rubs her chin thoughtfully.

You say, "He also admitted they killed in those chambers, Achillea."

Mnar smiles at Vonka.

You say, "all of them, including himself."

You say, "He didn't hide it."

You say, "That's what I told Vonka."

Vonka exclaims, "I'll jus' skip roun'--til I gits all sucked out an' dead!"

Opalina just hugged Vonka.

Lady Opalina just went east.

Achillea says, "that would include Thurfel, he was a council member"

You say, "Only thing he said to me which was... well... He told me he didn't think Blizz deserved to be free and wished he wasn't."

Tzuriz looks over at Aranrhod and shakes his head.

You say, "I said that Achillea."

Vonka asks, "Thurfel said dat?"

You ask, "Weren't ye listening?"

Aranrhod asks, "Thurfel said that?"

You cock your head at Achillea.

You nod to Aranrhod.

Achillea asks, "so what is the point then?"

Aranrhod frowns.

You say, "That he didn't try to cover for himself."

You say, "He said he killed with them. They all killed."

Achillea says, "Thulevier only stated vengeance against Thurfel, he never said he would destroy the town or even Vonka"

You say, "But Thulevier had no wife to kill."

You wave a hand at Achillea, dismissing her indifferently.

Vonka says, "Scept fer all de times he said he were gonner drain me an' stuff."

Achillea says, "you believe everything Thurfel says, so blind"

You say, "Is why I didn't want to say at all."

You say, "I just wanted Vonka to know."

You say, "She deserves to know."

You say, "I don't care what ye think, Achillea."

You say, "I really don't."

You shake your head.

Vonka says, "Welp."

Vonka grins.

Vonka says, "Iffin it dun' matter, we mighter well go ter de party."

An insidious voice rises up about you, "You bandy about more lies than Thurfel. Squawk, little snow pigeon. Squawk his lies. It does not matter now. I seek the little one."

Aranrhod raises an eyebrow.

Vonka blinks.

You say, "Thulevier is here."

Vonka says, "I be here, Thulevier."

(Mnar rubs the bridge of his nose.)

You say, "I tell no lies, Thulevier."

Mnar says, "You know, he seemed like such a nice, rational person when he was here the other night..."

Vonka says, "Yer dun' gotter looks fer me."

Vonka pushes on Achillea without much success.

Achillea smiles at Vonka.

Achillea smiles at Vonka.

An insidious voice rises up about you, "You repeat what the murderer has said. But there is no reasoning with you. Only the little one. Come to my chambers, will you?"

Aranrhod says, "Vonka"

Vonka trembles.

Vonka says, "Okies."

Vonka gulps.

Vonka asks, "Kin sommun come wit' me?"

Vonka leaves your group.

Vonka reaches out and holds Aranrhod's hand.

Achillea says, "I'll go"

You exclaim, "No!"

Achillea smiles at Vonka.

Vonka stares at Achillea.

Aranrhod glances at Achillea.

You look at Achillea and shake your head.

You say, "Let Aran go."

An insidious voice rises up about you, "None may enter my chambers but you. They would not survive the journey."

Aranrhod sighs.

Vonka bites her lip.

Vonka says, "I gotter go, Mnar."

Aranrhod asks, "Why not?"

You ask, "Why is that?"

A pool of darkness begins to grow around Vonka's feet.

Aranrhod asks, "Why would we not survive?"

You stand back up.

Vonka waves.

Aranrhod just tried to pull Vonka towards her!

Vonka gazes at Mnar with a look of utter sorrow in her eyes.

You say, "That sounds very suspicious."

Mnar sighs.

Achillea just touched Vonka.

Tzuriz just tried to pull Vonka towards him!

You kiss Vonka on the cheek.

Vonka slowly sinks into the darkness, and it seals itself up within seconds.

You whisper quietly to Vonka, "Please be safe."

(Vonka shakes off Achillea, angrily.)

Aranrhod sighs.

Aranrhod shakes her head.

You sigh softly.

Achillea leans against a paneled cherrywood bar.

You bite your lip.

You say, "I do not like this."

You take a drink from your the Library's finest.

[A Dark Cavern]
Two flickering torches are inset in this strange, expansive chamber. Corpses litter the floor, some in the advanced stages of decay and others simply skeletons. A massive blood-stained throne of bone sits against the northern wall, and a path has been cleaved through the numerous dead bodies toward it.
Also in the room: Thulevier who is seated
Obvious exits: none.

Look Thulevier
The thing before you may have been a halfling at one time, but only traces of its racial lineage remain. Its face is twisted and distorted, the flesh sickly and mottled. It wears the garments of a mage, although the fabric once rich and lustrous is nothing more than shredded tatters now. It bears no expression or emotion, but a burning rage simmers in the crimson-flecked eyes of the lich.

You feel the blood drain from your face.

You say, "Milord."

Thulevier says, "You doubtlessly know what has gone on tonight, little one."

You say, "I heard dat Achillea foun' an' orb an' give it ter yer."

You say, "Peoples t'ink it be yers."

You say, "An' now Thurfel kint git yer."

You bite your lip.

Thulevier says, "My power has increased far beyond what I might have dreamed when I was alive. Should I think to, I might now be able to make you bond with me."

Your whole body trembles with fear.

You ask, "Der I gotter choice now?"

You hear the faint thoughts of Mnar touch your mind: "Can you hear us, little one?"

Thulevier says, "I called you here to tell you one thing. To prove to you."

You focus your mind on Mnar and think: "Aye. I kin hear yer."

Thulevier says, "You have a choice. Know now my nature."

You bite your lip.

You say, "Milord. Thurfel said yer weren' ever married."

Thulevier says, "And such a thing he would say. He lies to conceal his true nature."

You say, "And dat yer all kilt folks in 'ere."

Thulevier shakes visibly, small flakes of skin peeling off his face.

Thulevier says, "He would."

(Vonka climbs carefully over the bodies to the skeleton that had been dancing.)

You say, "I dun' see no ring on 'er fingers, Milord."

You cock your head at Thulevier.

Thulevier says, "Look at her finger closely, and you will see the truth."

You blink.

The finger appears to be covered in a thick layer of melted gold.

Thulevier says, "Fire."

You shudder.

Thulevier says, "Thurfel's strongest point."

You say, "It were burned ter 'er finger."

You gulp.

(Vonka clambers swiftly back to her place in the path.)

You shudder.

You say, "Okies."

You say, "I berlieves yer."

Thulevier says, "I could lay siege to this town now. Set a blaze bigger than Thurfel did in the past, now that I am reunited with this."

Thulevier pulls out an orb from the rotting robes that make up his clothing and rubs it gently, then places it back inside.

Thulevier says, "And I do not act. Know who I am, and what I desire."

(Vonka follows the orb with her eyes.)

Thulevier stands up.

Thulevier says, "I await your decision. I send you to your surface world, now."

You say, "Wait."

You ask, "Whut'll happen iffin I joins wit' yer? What'll happen ter me?"

Thulevier says, "A meshing of spirit. When I sleep, it will not matter any longer."

You ask, "But till den?"

Thulevier says, "I may draw on your lifeforce to battle Thurfel. I am well aware of how much it might take to hurt you."

Thulevier says, "And it will not be done should it do so."

You ask, "An' yer gonner kill Thurfel, an' dat be it?"

You bite your lip.

Thulevier says, "I will berid this town of him. With his death, everything of my past shall be washed away and put to rest."

You wring your hands.

Thulevier says, "And I will be able to sleep again."

You say, "I wish yer could sleep afore den."

Thulevier asks, "What do you think made me this way?"

You say, "Mebber yer wife be waitin' fer yer."

You say, "Guess it were bein' shut up."

Thulevier says, "I cannot rest with him alive. My hatred for him is what made me this way."

You say, "But yer muster liked 'im oncet."

Thulevier says, "Once. Before I knew what he hid from even his closest Councilmen."

You ask, "Whut were dat?"

Thulevier says, "What he was capable of, the treachery he could carry out without a second thought..."

You bite your lip.

Thulevier says, "He stood that day, in my study...smiled at my wife, and told me how LUCKY I was..."

Thulevier clenches his skeletal fist.

You shudder.

You try to hug Thulevier, but a searing wall of flame prevents it.

You say, "I'm sorra fer yer, Milord."

You say, "Tell me bout yer wife."

You ask, "Whut were she like?"

Thulevier says, "We met during the strife wrought by our differing philosphies. She didn't care, but we were wed in secret."

Thulevier says, "Thurfel was the only one I told."

Thulevier sits back on the throne, muttering to himself.

You ask, "Whut color were her hair?"

You kneel down.

You sit up.

Thulevier says, "Brown, brown like the bark on a tree just after the thaw."

(Vonka draws up her knees.)

You nod.

You ask, "An' her eyes?"

Thulevier says, "Bluer than an icicle and the sky combined."

The Symbol of Thought begins to burn in your mind and you hear Iscikella thinking, "Are ye all right, Vonka?"

You say, "She soun' perty."

You concentrate on projecting your thoughts but something seems to be blocking them.

Thulevier says, "She was. She risked her life by becoming my betrothed. Politics."

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

Thulevier spits what sounds like a bone from his mouth and continues to mutter.

You ask, "But no one knew bout dat, did dey?"

You cock your head at Thulevier.

Thulevier says, "No one. I would not put her in danger."

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

You ask, "Whut did 'er voice soun' like?"

Thulevier says, "If a lily had a voice, it would certainly be as beautiful."

You smile.

You say, "I kin see dat yer loved 'er, Milord."

You ask, "How long was yer married?"

Thulevier says, "Only a brief month before the uprising."

You ask, "An' dat's why it were so risky? Acos o' de uprisin'?"

Thulevier says, "We had known each other since youth. She had returned to town while we were rallying for the temple to be changed."

Thulevier says, "Politics."

Thulevier nods to you.

You nod.

You ask, "Whut were de las' t'in' she said ter yer?"

Thulevier says, "It was... the night before the uprising... we met, not knowing what would happen, in an alley..."

Thulevier looks to be gazing at something unseen.

Thulevier says, "Her words were, I love you."

You bite your lip.

You say, "I gots a fancy."

Thulevier raises a rotted eyebrow.

You say, "I teases 'im an' pinches 'im when 'e tries ter kiss me."

You say, "But I loves 'im wit' all me heart."

You show Thulevier your silver locket.

You say, "Dat's 'im."

The Symbol of Thought begins to burn in your mind and you hear Iscikella thinking, "Ye allright, vonka?"

Thulevier says, "That is why I used him against you. It is a strong bond, and the fear of losing it is what drives many. I know this all too well."

Thulevier says, "Now that you understand, though..."

You rub a tarnished silver locket.

(Vonka places the locket carefully away under her jacket.)

You say, "Iffin I were ter lose me soul, Milord..."

You say, "He'd be as sorry es yer be dat yer wife died."

Thulevier asks, "Why would I damn another?"

You say, "Iffin I'd bin yer wife...."

You say, "I'd rat'er be kilt by Thurfel, den have yer end up all et up by hate."

Thulevier says, "I cannot rest until his doings are undone. You are all hopelessly weak against him."

You ask, "Yer said yer didn't know bout yer wife til yer foun' 'er 'ere?"

Thulevier says, "We could reach beyond the tomb, sometimes... to places of strong focus with the flows."

Thulevier flicks a hand, and huge streams of mana suddenly become visible around you. They fade away in an instant.

You give your eyebrow a little workout.

Thulevier says, "This is a strong focus. I could see in here, when I had the strength."

You nod.

You say, "I sees."

You cock your head at Thulevier.

You bite your lip.

You say, "I guess I gotter t'ink bout it."

Thulevier says, "It is up to you, little one. I will return you to more comfortable surroundings where you might think on it."

You ask, "How kin I let yer know?"

Thulevier says, "I will find you when I am so inclined."

Thulevier says, "Think well and hard."

You nod.

You bite your lip.

You say, "It be hard ter trus' yer, Milord."

Thulevier says, "If you cannot trust me, then never trust Thurfel."

You say, "Yer dun' lotser nasty stuff."

You say, "Like makin' me head hurt."

Thulevier says, "I have not been inside your head."

You say, "An' sayin' yer were gonner drain all me spirit."

Thulevier says, "If one of my fellow Councilman has, beyond that night..."

You blink.

You ask, "Den who were it?"

Thulevier says, "I will have words with them."

You say, "It when on fer a long time..."

Thulevier frowns deeply.

You say, "An' sommun made me all burn up inside."

You say, "An' sommun made be try ter kill Sheka."

Thulevier says, "This was not me."

You blink.

Thulevier says, "They will not incur upon you again, now that I posess my own sphere."

You ask, "Who were it, den?"

Thulevier says, "If I should find out, you will know."

You say, "An' sommun...."

You blush a lovely shade of bright pink.

You bite your lip.

Thulevier raises a rotted eyebrow.

You say, "Sommun made me feel all strange inside."

Thulevier glares around the room at no one in particular, his eyes flashing red.

Thulevier says, "I will make sure this does not happen. Ever."

You say, "Sorter nice an' nasty at de same time... an' tol' me dat iffin I helped 'im, I could feel dat way all de time."

You ask, "So, dat weren' yer?"

Thulevier says, "It was not me."

You try to figure out how to ignore yourself.

You ask, "Den when were it yer?"

Thulevier says, "The only time I have spoken to you was the night at the lake, little one."

You blink.

You say, "An' dat night yer an' Elymir were killin' folks."

You say, "Sommun bin talkin' ter me fer mont's."

Thulevier says, "I speak of you alone. If they have... then I will put a stop to it."

Thulevier says, "I will let you know of what I find."

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

You say, "T'anks."

You say, "Acos I be real confused now."

Thulevier says, "War is confusing. It will not be deadly for you."

Thulevier gestures, and darkness envelops you.

You feel yourself being pulled away...

A pool of darkness spills onto the floor, and Vonka flows up from it.

You try to pull Vonka towards you.

You exclaim, "Vonka!"

You ask, "Ye allright?"

Vonka hugs you.

Vonka says, "I be okie."

Tzuriz kneels down.

Vonka nods.

You stand back up.

You kiss Vonka on the cheek.

Vonka says, "He didn' hurt me."

Tzuriz rubs Vonka gently.

You say, "Good"

Achillea says, "see, she is fine, as I said she would be"

Aranrhod kneels down.

You say, "Achillea, ye couldn't know that."

Aranrhod just hugged Vonka.

Achillea says, "so much for Thurfel saying she was lost now"

Vonka says, "He wan's me ter join 'im."

Aranrhod sighs.

Mnar takes a drink from his the Library's finest.

You say, "We know that."

Vonka says, "An' he sen' me back sos I could t'ink bout it."

You try to pull Vonka to her feet, but she is too heavy.

Aranrhod stands up.

You sit down.

Vonka asks, "Thurfel said I were los'?"

(Iscikella gazes anxiously at Achillea.)

Vonka looks rather confused.

You look at Vonka and shake your head.

Achillea says, "yes, Thurfel, not Thulevier"

You say, "No, he didn't."

Achillea says, "Thurfel said shed become but a husk and a shell, don't lie Iscikella"

You turn to face Vonka.

Vonka says, "I ain' joined 'im yet."

You ask, "What happened, Vonka?"

Skyfawn asks, "like Elendr?"

Tzuriz says, "He said that because Achillea gave Thulevier the orb, that Achillea had doomed ya"

Achillea says, "those were his words, not Thuleviers"

Skyfawn asks, "like Elendr?"

Vonka looks over at Mnar and shakes her head.

Achillea says, "ye lie now Iscikella, you were there and know damn well Thurfel said that"

Vonka says, "I said I'd t'ink bout it."

You say, "Oh Achillea be quiet."

Skyfawn says, "yes he did say that"

You say, "I mentioned Vonka."

Vonka nods to Aranrhod.

Achillea smiles at Skyfawn.

Aranrhod sighs softly.

You say, "don't twist it all around."

Tzuriz just touched Vonka.

Vonka says, "I took a good look at de skeleton he said were 'is wife."

Aranrhod says, "So...even with his vessel...he still wants your cooperation"

You turn to face Vonka.

Vonka just hugged Tzuriz.

You cock your head at Vonka.

Achillea stares at you.

Vonka nods to Aranrhod.

Vonka looks over at Mnar and shakes her head.

You whisper quietly to Aranrhod, "Of course, I knew that would be the case."

Vonka says, "He didn'."

Achillea says, "I twisted nothing, merely made a quote of Thurfel's"

Mnar nods.

Vonka says, "I looked at de skeleton."

You ask, "And?"

Aranrhod turns an inquisitive ear towards Vonka.

You cock your head at Vonka.

Vonka says, "An' der were a ring on' 'er finger...."

Vonka says, "Onny melted ter de bone."

Achillea smiles to herself

Vonka shudders.

Vonka says, "An' I asked 'im bout 'er."

Vonka says, "Whut she were like."

Vonka says, "She sounded perty."

Vonka says, "An' 'e said iffin a lily could talk, she'd soun' like dat."

You scratch your head.

You ask, "A lily?"

Vonka says, "An' I asked 'im why he were so mean afore."

Aranrhod rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Vonka says, "An' he said it weren' him."

You ask, "Wasn't him?"

You try to figure out how to ignore yourself.

Achillea peers quizzically at Vonka.

Vonka nods.

You ask, "How is that?"

Aranrhod asks, "Then who was it?"

Vonka says, "He said he were gonner fin' out who it were."

Vonka says, "An' he seemed sorter mad."

You scratch your head.

You say, "That is rather confusing."

Aranrhod asks, "You mean we had a lich impersonator?"

Vonka blinks.

Vonka exclaims, "I dunno!"

Vonka flails her arms about.

Vonka cocks her head at Mnar.

You say, "I don't think anyone could do makeup to make them look that bad."

You shudder.

Vonka says, "He gonner keep askin, Mnar."

Achillea says, "not sure if he means that, but would seem something only Thurfel could do"

Skyfawn rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Mnar nods.

Vonka asks, "Whut em I gonner tell i'm?"

Skyfawn says, "shape shifting"

Mnar frowns.

Skyfawn says, "that could be the only answer"

Skyfawn rubs her chin thoughtfully.

You say, "I don't think so."

You shake your head.

You say, "I don't think anyone has that power."

Mnar says, "There's really only one answer, Vonka. Whatever you do, don't agree to join him. Stall all you like, but never agree."

Vonka bites her lip.

Aranrhod nods.

Aranrhod says, "He is right"

Vonka says, "He ain' gonner wait ferever."

Skyfawn rubs her chin thoughtfully.

(Vonka rubs her arm nervously.)

Aranrhod asks, "What did he say would happen if you did not?"

Mnar says, "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it."

Skyfawn says, "I have heard someone talk of shape shifting, just wish I knew who it was"

Vonka says, "He didn' say nuttin' bad'd happen."

Skyfawn rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Vonka says, "He bein' verra nice."

Vonka says, "But I dunno who were bein' so mean ter me."

Vonka exclaims, "Acos sommun were!"

Aranrhod asks, "Why does he have to talk to you there?"

Aranrhod asks, "And alone?"

Vonka says, "Welp, he prolly gits tired o' tryin' ter talk ter everone at oncet."

Vonka says, "I kin hear yer when I'm der."

Mnar nods.

Achillea says, "especially when most of them are rude to him"

Vonka says, "But I tried ter t'ink back, an' I couldn'."

Mnar nods to Vonka.

Mnar says, "I heard your first thought, but none after that."

Vonka nods to Mnar.

Vonka says, "I t'ink he prolly stopped it."

Vonka bites her lip.

Mnar says, "Well, so long as he is trying to get you to join him, you have leverage."

Vonka shivers.

Vonka nods to Mnar.

Vonka says, "Aye."

Mnar says, "You can make requests or demands of him."

Vonka says, "I'm s'prised at how much he lets me ask 'im."

Mnar says, "For now, start with something simple.. request that someone else always accompany you."

Vonka says, "I asks evertime."

Aranrhod says, "And if he says what he said tonight"

Vonka says, "But he won' let no one come."

Mnar says, "And don't let him bluff with some speech about nobody else surviving... if he's a powerful lich, he can figure out how to transport two people without killing one."

Elendr just arrived.

Elendr blinks.

Aranrhod says, "then say to meet someplace different"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "She knows what I am capable of, now that I hold the sphere. She knows my true nature now."

Mnar says, "Make it a condition."

Mnar nods to Vonka.

Elendr blinks.

You ask, "Capable of?"

You ask, "ye are capable of more than before?"

Aranrhod asks, "True nature?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "That is for her to tell."

Aranrhod turns to face Vonka.

Skyfawn peers quizzically at Vonka.

Aranrhod asks, "True nature?"

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

Vonka says, "He says dat he be able ter bond wit' me now."

Elendr folds his arms over his chest.

Elendr leans against a paneled cherrywood bar.

You ask, "Bond?"

You ask, "Why would one wish to lose part of one's self with another?"

You ask, "To another?"

Vonka's face turns slightly pale.

You ask, "When what we have is all we are?"

You say, "All we really have in life."

Vonka says, "He means dat he could derstroy de town now."

Mnar frowns.

Achillea asks, "what makes bonding with someone loosing ones self?"

Aranrhod asks, "But?"

Mnar asks, "Why would he still need you to join him, if he is capable of such bonding?"

Vonka says, "Dat's whut he means by bein' capable."

You say, "Because ye have to give away part."

You nod to Vonka.

You say, "I see."

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

Mnar says, "I think, perhaps, this lich is not being entirely truthful. Additionally, for all we know, they've all been able to destroy the town this whole time."

Vonka says, "Mebber iffin I dun' join 'im, he gonner do dat."

Lord Arianiss just arrived.

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

Mnar says, "Obviously, none of them want to see the town destroyed."

You say, "I think they are never entirely truthful."

You sigh.

Arianiss leans on Achillea.

Achillea says, "seems Thurfel hasn't been truthful either"

Mnar says, "He wouldn't bother asking if he didn't need your cooperation."

You say, "Vonka, don't join because of fear."

Mnar says, "For now, stall."

You say, "I can't tell ye what to do."

Vonka says, "He says dat I won' be harmed iffin I joins 'im."

You say, "Wish I could."

You say, "But fear is the wrong reason to do anything."

You say, "I do know that."

You nod.

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

(Elendr paces quietly around the group, his hands clasped at the small of his back. Occasionally he glances inwards towards those speaking but says nothing.)

Junis just arrived.

Vonka furrows her brow.

Valdirn just arrived.

Vonka stands up.

Vonka just hugged Valdirn.

Vonka closes her eyes for a moment.

Valdirn just hugged Vonka.

Achillea asks, "Vonka? what is his true nature he speaks of?"

You say, "Don't join because ye fear they he may retaliate against the town. Don't do anything strictly on fear."

You shake your head.

You say, "It's a poor reason and usually only leads to more fear and not settling of fear."

You sigh softly.

Elendr nods.

Achillea nods to Elendr in greeting.

Valdirn gazes at his locket.

Vonka says, "I t'ink he means dat he be off fulla hate fer Thurfel, an' when he kill Thurfel, he kin rest."

Elendr paces back and forth, muttering something about left.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "You trust a man who burns your town. You trust a man who kills his innocent apprentice. You trust a man who releases horrors into your town. I have done what I must against him. I am desperate to exact vengeance. Trust the dead, you have already trusted the bestower of it."

Arianiss smiles quietly to himself.

Achillea smiles.

Elendr takes a few steps to his left.

Junis smirks.

Junis says, "I hardly trust that fool, an you know it."

(Elendr takes a seat at the bar and leans against it heavily.)

You say, "Ye cannot tell any who to trust, Thulevier."

You say, "That comes from inside."

You say, "Has to."

You say, "Or is worthless."

Achillea says, "why Iscikella, you insist all should trust Thurfel"

You say, "I say I trust him."

Achillea says, "Thulevier at least can express his opinion"

You say, "I always say I cannot tell others what to believe."

Valdirn moves to stand behind Vonka.

You say, "My trust is my own to give."

Elendr asks, "Yet you blame me for my choices. Is that how it works?"

Achillea says, "nor was he telling, merely suggesting"

Tzuriz asks, "Vonka, did Thulevier say that the skeleton was once his wife?"

Elendr looks thoughtfully at you.

Vonka nods to Tzuriz.

You say, "Elendr I did not see ye make a choice."

Vonka says, "Aye."

You say, "I saw ye deciding was hopeless to fight."

You say, "So ye stopped fighting."

Tzuriz asks, "Did he say how she died, what happened to her?"

You say, "That isn't choice."

Elendr says, "You didn't wish to see me make a choice because of what you believe in. That in essence is forcing your opinion on me."

You say, "It makes no difference what I think."

Vonka says, "Thurfel kilt 'er."

You say, "Ye did what what ye did."

You say, "My opinion doesn't matter to ye."

Tzuriz nods to Vonka.

Vonka says, "Burned 'er up, an' melted de ring ter 'er finger."

Elendr asks, "Then why do you continue to hammer it into those around you that I am a blind servant, a slave?"

You say, "But my opinion matters to me."

Tzuriz nods to Vonka.

Junis shakes his head.

You say, "Because is my opinion."

Skyfawn asks, "he say why Thurfel killed her?"

Elendr asks, "Which is not forcing it on others?"

Tzuriz says, "Okay, that was a thought that popped into my head, didn't know it had been confirmed like that"

Arianiss leans against a paneled cherrywood bar.

Elendr says, "hrm."

Vonka says, "He said dat onny Thurfel knew dey was even married."

You say, "No, because no one believes my opinion anymore than anyone else's."

You say, "they never have."

Achillea says, "but you wish to persuade with your opinion, Iscikella, which is fine, but opposing opinions also seek to pursuade"

(Elendr turns back towards the bar and folds his arms over it, leaning against it as he tilts his head downwards in thought.)

Tzuriz says, "Earlier tonight, Thurfel kept saying that Thulevier was never married."

Skyfawn says, "I wish I knew more of that"

You ask, "Why would only Thurfel know?"

You blink at Vonka.

Tzuriz says, "even that he was rather inexperienced with women"

You say, "That makes no sense."

You ask, "He hid his wife?"

You ask, "Why?"

Mnar says, "Sense hasn't exactly been par for the course here, Healer."

Junis says, "Because hes cruel Iscikella."

Achillea says, "it could be politically not the best thing to have a wife"

You ask, "Who?"

Junis says, "One doesnt always have to have a reason to murder."

Junis says, "Thurfel."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "It makes no sense to marry in secret when political strife goes on? Addlebrained for one who professes to follow the Goddess of Wisdom."

You say, "That isn't what I'm asking, Junis."

Arianiss chuckles.
Achillea chuckles.

Elendr smiles slightly.

Vonka says, "Welp... he said it better den I could."

You say, "Aye, it makes no sense."

Mnar says, "Oh for the love of the gods, if you're going to make comments at least come out in the open."

Skyfawn asks, "why did he kill her?"

Achillea says, "makes sense to me to keep such a secret"

Junis says, "But it does make sense if you think about it."

Aranrhod grins at Mnar.

Junis says, "People are married in secret all the time."

You say, "Ye can claim political strife all ye wish. There wasn't any until the council turned on the town."

You say, "They were part of the town till then."

Vonka says, "Dat's a good question, Skyfawn."

Mnar says, "For example, Aranrhod and I are secretly married."

Junis says, "Their families don't want them to marry, their friends don't approve."

Junis shrugs.

You say, "So aye, it makes no sense."

Vonka says, "Didn' t'ink ter ask."

Skyfawn asks, "why did Thurfel kill her?"

Aranrhod begins chuckling at Mnar.

Junis says, "Oh bah Iscikella."

Tzuriz says, "So now my question if Thulevier was indeed married and Thurfel being the only one who knew...why did Thurfel lie tonight and say that Thulevier was never married."

Aranrhod leans on Mnar.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I stay in my world. The ground. The domain of the dead."

You say, "Oh bah, Junis."

Mnar leans on Aranrhod.

Junis says, "Theres always political strife, the council didnt start that."

Vonka blinks at Mnar.

Vonka asks, "Yer er?"

You ask, "If the Council wasn't part of it, why hide his wife?"

Vonka asks, "Do Juspera know?"

Aranrhod just tickled Vonka.

Mnar grins.

Elendr chuckles.

Arianiss says, "You too eh? I empathize with your situation Thulevier."

You say, "come now, ye know is strange."

Vonka gasps.

Aranrhod chuckles.

Mnar says, "No, sshhh."

Vonka gives Mnar a good pinch!

Junis looks over at you and shakes his head.

Vonka exclaims, "Yer funnin!"

Aranrhod grins at Vonka.

Skyfawn asks, "why did Thurfel kill your wife?"

Skyfawn asks, "jealousy?"

Junis says, "The man had a heart, and he knew enough to know one of his fellows didnt, so he tried to keep it a secret."

Skyfawn asks, "envy?"

Mnar asks, "Why did Thurfel burn half the town down?"

Mnar shrugs.

Junis says, "Makes perfect sense to me."

Achillea nods to Mnar.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "You were not there. You did not see it through the eyes of one who lived it. All you have are stories. History is written by the victors of battle."

You say, "Junis, they all had no hearts."

(Elendr snaps his fingers and points.)

Skyfawn says, "then tell us"

Achillea stares at you.

Skyfawn says, "let it be known"

Junis shakes his head.

Skyfawn says, "take me and tell me"

Aranrhod smiles at Tzuriz.

Junis asks, "Thurfel had his love of power, Thulevier had his love of a woman, is that so hard to believe?"

Skyfawn says, "I want to know"

You say, "I am sorry if sounds too convenient to say the marriage was secret, but it does."

Tzuriz asks, "Thulevier, what does Thurfel have to gain by claiming that you were never married?"

Achillea says, "you know what amuses me, Iscikella? that you call me a zealot"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Thurfel killed her because she was associated with me. All the corpses which I dwell with were people I once knew in life. They join me in death now, they drive me on to kill Thurfel."

Vonka shudders.

Achillea says, "zealot even, when your blind zeal for Thurfel far exceeds any wisdom or evidence to support such trust"

You say, "And I am entitled to speak what confuses me too, Achillea."

(Vonka buries her face in Valdirn's chest.)

You say, "And I'm afraid this does."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "They are a constant reminder of his treachery. You will all be reminders of his treachery to your children, if they are lucky to escape his wrath."

Valdirn just tried to pull Vonka towards him!

Elendr winces.

Arianiss says, "All is such a strong word."

Arianiss leans on Achillea.

Mnar says, "Actually I plan on heading South if this gets too hot."

Skyfawn asks, "tell me this then, what will happen to us if you kill thurfel?"

Achillea begins chuckling at Mnar.

You say, "So ye insist, Thulevier. But I have seen nothing to make such believable."

Vonka just tried to pull Mnar towards her!

Tzuriz nods to Skyfawn.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Thurfel wants to be perceived a savior. He has some of you fooled."

Mnar says, "You're free to come with me."

Skyfawn asks, "tell me this then, what will happen to us if you kill thurfel?"

Mnar nods to Vonka.

Arianiss says, "Some. Better. You're learning."

You ask, "And ye may be fooling as well, nae?"

You cock your head.

Vonka says, "He says he jus' go ter sleep den."

Achillea says, "not all of us, Thulevier, fortunately"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Rest for me, a plague gone for you."

Skyfawn rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Elendr smiles softly.

Arianiss asks, "You have your sphere. What are you going to do with it?"

You ask, "What of this messenger who came to Achillea?"

Skyfawn asks, "so Thurfel wants more then what meets the eye?"

You ask, "Why did he come?"

Junis says, "E's gonna give it to me"

Junis nods to Arianiss.

Arianiss says, "No."

Elendr nods to Skyfawn.

Junis seems to be waiting for something.

Achillea says, "was nothing, just a townsfolk came to tell me something"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I am far more powerful now than I was before. Thurfel will be hard-pressed to get rid of me now. And I will be that more stronger to destroy him."

You say, "I am asking Thulevier."

You say, "Why this messenger would come to ye after ye found the sphere."

Mnar nods to Vonka.

You say, "I want to hear what he has to say about it."

Mnar asks, "Then what do you need Vonka for?"

Elendr glances at Achillea.

Achillea says, "why? it wasn't Thulevier who came to speak with me"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "A messenger?"

Aranrhod asks, "Why do you need Vonka?"

Arianiss asks, "Why are you asking Thulevier, when it was Achillea that the messenger came to?"

Aranrhod glances at Mnar.

Aranrhod grins.

You say, "yes, a messenger."

Achillea says, "he may not even know of it"

Junis yawns.

Tzuriz asks, "Thulevier, I now understand your motives for wanting to destroy Thurfel, but the other of the Nine, why do they want to kill him? same reasons?"

(Elendr glances back over his shoulder for a moment, his face tense.)

You say, "I want to know his answer, not yers, Achillea."

Achillea asks, "well why would he even have an answer?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I know nothing of a messenger. The little one can aid me in the battle. It is her choice, but I lose more of what I was day by day, and grow more desperate to succeed in destroying the betrayer."

Arianiss asks, "How desperate will you get?"

Skyfawn asks, "Thulevier if Thurfel was to win this battle with you, are we doomed?"

Vonka's face turns slightly pale.

Achillea says, "ye ask him like he was with me, he wasn't"

Vonka just hugged Valdirn.

Achillea stares at you.

You ask, "How can she aid ye?"

(Valdirn wraps his arms around Vonka.)

Mnar says, "So destroy him, then. His keep is beneath the town, burn it to cinders if you are so powerful."

Valdirn just kissed Vonka on the cheek.

You say, "Achillea ye said yer master approved."

You say, "Of what ye did."

You say, "She said that right here."

You say, "That was why I asked."

Tzuriz nods to Mnar.

Mnar nods to you.

Junis says, "Don't be a fool, Thurfel wouldnt stay in such a lousily guarded keep."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "You are doomed. If we had not broken from our tomb, this town would be the largest graveyard on the continent Elanith. We are the wall which stops your doom."

Mnar says, "But, that doesn't mean her master and the lich had any communion."

Achillea asks, "whatever I said, why do you think he would know?"

You say, "we were not a graveyard."

Skyfawn paces back and forth.

Elendr says, "You would have been."

You say, "And ye forced possession upon folks."

You say, "Unkindly forced."

Elendr says, "The entire lands will be.... if you get in the way of the council."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "You will be, if we are not here to stop him."

You say, "There was no benevolence when I was taken."

Vonka shudders.

You say, "There was pain and blood."

Arianiss asks, "Why haven't you stopped him yet, then? What are you waiting for? What do you need done?"

You ask, "Do ye expect me to forget this?"

Mnar nods to Arianiss.

Elendr says, "There was also desperation."

Mnar asks, "What remains to be done, Lich?"

You say, "I am not asking ye, Elendr."

Junis shakes his head.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Pain and blood... remember those, Iscikella. When the irony hits you."

Tzuriz asks, "Aye Thulevier, like Mnar said, if you, meaning the Nine collectively are so powerful, why do you not just destroy Thurfel as opposed to killing the townspeople of Icemule as has been done on occasion?"

Vonka says, "I wanner do anyt'in I needs ter ter perteck de town."

Elendr shrugs.

Skyfawn says, "I think you took it on yourself Iscikella when you kept playing with that sphere"

Junis says, "You're all fools you know, I'm really going to enjoy the final battle."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I cannot speak for my kin. They are motivated by their own goals."

You say, "The only irony is that ye trying to make me forget it."

You look at Skyfawn and shake your head.

You say, "That isn't when it happened."

Tzuriz asks, "What are their goals?"

Achillea says, "It has been some time since anyone has been killed, but that they emerged in almost blind rage is understandable"

Skyfawn peers quizzically at you.

Skyfawn says, "you said it was"

Tzuriz nods to Achillea.

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

You say, "It was in the bag when it broke."

You say, "It just broke."

Skyfawn says, "but still, you was told to put it away"

Mnar asks, "What is left to be done, Thulevier?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I do not know what goes on in their minds. My goal is to destroy Thurfel, we are allied in this aim."

You say, "It was away."

Skyfawn says, "and to to touch it"

You say, "Had been for weeks."

You say, "Not touched."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "To hamper Thurfel's project. Then to kill him."

Elendr smiles over his shoulder at Iscikella, a sad and mirthless smile that is not kind.

Mnar asks, "Are there any other mystical incantations or magical staves that must be found, or can Thurfel's end begin now?"

Vonka asks, "Iffin I joins yer, Thulevier, der yer promise ter keep de udder folks from hurtin' peoples?"

Skyfawn asks, "you denie useing it?"

Tzuriz says, "Thank you Thulevier for answering our questions."

Junis says, "Don't do it Vonka, let him fight his fight on his own."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "That I will, little one."

You say, "No, I used it once. But long before it broke."

Vonka blinks at Junis.

Vonka says, "I t'ought yer were on' de lichs side."

Elendr says, "Mnar, Thurfel was originally released because he was the strongest. Thulevier may be strong, but it will certainly help when more of the council have their own power."

Junis says, "I'm on Amasalen's side."

Skyfawn asks, "I thought you said twice?"

Aranrhod asks, "You can speak for the others?"

You say, "vonka, please don't do it."

You look at Vonka and shake your head.

Valdirn just tried to pull Vonka towards him!

You say, "Is all I can say."

Lord Tjaran's group just arrived.

Arimantis rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Elendr exclaims, "Let her choose herself!"

Tjaran takes a leather knapsack off his back.

Junis says, "This lich can do and say what he will, but I've seen no proof hes worthy of my respect."

Elendr stares at you.

Elendr shakes his head.

Vonka bites her lip.

Elendr asks, "Have you no decency?"

Tjaran says, "I...brought leftovers..."

Tjaran drops a leather knapsack.

You say, "I only said please don't. that's all."

Valdirn says, "Vonka, me needs ya at my side"

Tjaran says, "Plenty of snacks in there."

Tjaran points at a leather knapsack.

Mnar says, "Lot of chocolate."

The powerful look leaves Khiten.

Elendr says, "If you all care about her you won't rend her with guilt trips. Just let her decide based on her own feelings."

Valdirn says, "not the side of the lich"

You say, "Oh stop, Elendr."

Vonka just hugged Valdirn.

Vonka gazes at Valdirn with a look of utter sorrow in her eyes.

You ask, "Like ye are not doing that?"

You say, "it is not a guilt trip."

Elendr rolls his eyes.

You say, "Is simply how I feel."

Valdirn chews on his fingernails.

You say, "I cannot tell her what to do."

Arianiss says, "So stop."

Elendr asks, "And she's certainly seen how you treat me, hasn't she?"

Vonka fidgets.

Valdirn sighs.

Valdirn gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Tjaran nods to Aranrhod.

Valdirn checks his footing.

You say, "Like I would matter, Elendr? Please."

Tzuriz asks, "Thulevier, what does Thurfel have to gain by lying about you being married?"

Vonka rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Elendr gazes heavenward.

Vonka asks, "Iffin I joins yer, Thulevier, kin yer make me powerful?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Everything. The worse I look, not just in appearance, the better he does."

You blink at Vonka.

Tjaran says, "Oh, Thulevier."

You ask, "Powerful?"

Tjaran says, "Thank you for ruining my night."

Tjaran turns around.

Lord Tjaran just went east.

Arimantis rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Aranrhod raises an eyebrow.

You say, "he didn't make himself look good, Thulevier."

You say, "He admitted all the council killed indiscriminately."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I well know the folly of seeking power, little one. It will not be done."

Arimantis paces back and forth.

Tzuriz nods to Aranrhod.

You say, "He admitted he had."

Vonka asks, "Iffin I joins yer, Thulevier, kin yer t'row a big party fer Tjaran?"

You say, "How does that make himself look good."

Tzuriz grins at Vonka.

Junis chuckles.

You say, "Seems ye are the one trying to do that."

Junis just kissed Vonka on the forehead.

(Elendr continues to stare at the wall behind the bar.)

Arimantis paces back and forth.

Valdirn hangs his head.

Junis says, "I trust you'll make the right decision Vonka, remember, the lich can speak for noone but himself."

Vonka cocks her head at Valdirn.

Junis bows to Vonka.

Vonka bites her lip.

You fret.

Elendr leans against a paneled cherrywood bar.

Elendr tilts his head down.

Vonka wrings her hands.

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

You whisper quietly to Vonka, "Don't leave us, Vonka."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I do not care whether any of the living believe me. I know where my place is. In the earth, with the dead. Yet I do not hide the face that is worse than my own behind a mask of false sincerity and kindness."

Arianiss glances at a framed menu.
Arianiss appears to be checking his pockets for something, but finds them empty.

Arianiss grumbles.

Skyfawn says, "Vonka, listen to your heart, do what you feel is right, not by what anyone says"

(Elendr nods in agreement.)

Arimantis paces back and forth.

Mnar asks, "Here's something I've always wondered, Lich.. Is Thurfel really alive? Alive like those of us in here?"

You think to yourself, "If I have to fight alone, I will. I don't have another choice."

You think to yourself, "I don't believe ye, Thulevier. I don't believe someone when messengers come to Luukosians saying they did right by giving ye yer orb."

Arianiss takes a bite of his Elven chocolate bar.
Arianiss takes a bite of his Elven chocolate bar.

Mnar takes a drink from his the Library's finest.

You think to yourself, "I will never believe such."

Aranrhod rubs her chin thoughtfully.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "He is. We combined our power before he need undergo... it."

Vonka asks, "Thulevier, der everone gots an orb, not jus' yer an de udder lichs?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "This I cannot know. Thurfel's sages seek them out, and none of my Councilmen have spoken to me of it."

You think to yourself, "I have no power. Never have had. But I will fight."

Junis grunts.

You say, "So not then."

Arianiss asks, "Thurfel said he escaped being rounded up by the town, way back when. You said it's your power that keeps him alive?"

Aranrhod just tried to pull Tzuriz towards her!

You say, "He admitted he was in the tomb, Arianiss."

Arianiss says, "Well, your power that turned him alive."

You say, "Long ago."

Arianiss says, "I'm asking Thulevier, not Iscikella."

You say, "Very well."

Elendr chuckles.

Arimantis paces back and forth.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Would that that were true. He was alive when we freed him. Back then, we had enough power to combine to free one of us."

Junis says, "See what I mean? They bicker and argue, soon they'll turn to blades."

Junis chuckles.

Arianiss nods.

Mnar asks, "Why did you help someone who slew your wife?"

You ask, "What was in the orb I possessed?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Would that we knew what he could sink to."

Elendr smiles.

Elendr glances at you.

Achillea says, "amazing Thulevier, now some of them actually believe all Thurfel wants is a nice wizards guild"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I did not know until after. We could see the world where the flows were anchored strongly if we tried enough. Some of us could even touch the world outside the tomb."

You ask, "Until after what?"

Mnar says, "Ah, he killed her after you had been sealed..."

Elendr nods to Mnar.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "After he was released."

Vonka nods to Mnar.

You ask, "How did ye have contact with the outside world?"

Mnar says, "Unfortunate."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I told you. We could see the world where mana flowed strongly. My private chambers are placed along a strong flow."

Arianiss asks, "You erm.. have a private chamber down there?"

You ask, "And the orbs? Where did they come from?"

Vonka nods to Arianiss.

Junis rolls his eyes.

Arimantis rubs his chin thoughtfully.

You ask, "How were essences put into them?"

Vonka says, "A dark ol' cavern--wit' a nasty ol' throne in it."

Arianiss says, "Well, I was thinking more of a dank room.. like an excavation site."

Arimantis rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Arianiss grins at Vonka.

You ask, "Where did the orbs come from, Thulevier?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Vessels to manifest. To touch the world again. We deduced how to make them."

You ask, "How did they come to be?"

Arimantis asks, "Thulvier.. if that cavern be in the tomb.. how'd yer wife get in there?"

You ask, "So ye made them?"

Arimantis works his fingers under his leather hat and scratches his head.

You ask, "So then they aren't something all have?"

Vonka's face turns slightly pale.

Junis asks, "So many questions Iscikella. Starting to doubt Thurfels intentions with them?"

Vonka says, "Thurfel took 'er der."

You say, "No, I want answers."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "My chambers are not in the tomb, they are under the town."

Vonka says, "He were de onny one whut knew bout it."

Arianiss scratches his head.

Arimantis ponders.

Arianiss asks, "Just recently acquired?"

Vonka whispers, "Dat's where yer chamber were!"

You ask, "If they made the orbs, how is it they don't know where they are?"

Achillea says, "he said he could see where strong flows were an it had a strong flow..I think"

You nod to Vonka.

Mnar frowns.

Aranrhod leans on Tzuriz.

You say, "Thulevier answer please."

Junis asks, "Iscikella, if they were trapped in the tomb, and couldnt see everything outside of it, how could they see where the vessels landed if they merely cast them out?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "There are many caverns under here. Thurfel's only delved in some."

You say, "How can ye not know where the orbs are if ye made them."

Arianiss rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Arimantis rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Arianiss says, "Probably a few with that buried town out the north gate too."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "We made them when we were alive. Death fogs the memory."

Aranrhod nods to Tzuriz.

You ask, "Why would ye make such a vessel when alive?"

Arianiss asks, "..because you know you're going to die?"

Arianiss shrugs.

You ask, "Were ye entombed when ye made them?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "The elf speaks truly. We had thought to return while alive."

You ask, "So was a form of personal necromancy?"

You ask, "this making of orbs?"

Junis says, "He said Vessels to manifest. To touch the world again. We deduced how to make them." Obviously they were entombed."

(Vonka leans against Valdirn and rubs his arm, thoughtfully.)

You say, "He then said they were alive when they made them, Junis."

Valdirn just tried to pull Vonka towards him!

Mnar leans against a paneled cherrywood bar.

Mnar takes a drink from his the Library's finest.

You say, "He is contradicting himself."

You say, "So let him answer."

Junis says, "Well, they were buried alive Iscikella."

Arianiss nods to Junis.

You say, "Let him answer."

Vonka shudders.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "We failed in our attempt then. We could not force through. Do you think we were entombed as lichs?"

Achillea says, "he also said he once hungered for power, perhaps when alive that was a goal"

You say, "No, I know ye weren't."

Arianiss says, "With your power? No."

Arianiss chuckles.

Arianiss says, "Perhaps back then, it might have gone differently were you in lich form."

You ask, "How long did ye stay alive in the tomb?"

Aranrhod rubs her chin thoughtfully.

You say, "Must have been a while to create vessels."

You say, "Especially since some of the time ye would have had to have been unconscious."

You whisper quietly to Aranrhod, "He is contradicting himself and nobody else seems to care."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "It varied. Cantrips can be performed to stave off hunger, and there was a good population of rats there for a while."

Achillea gags.

You ask, "What about air?"

You ask, "Water?"

You cock your head.

Aranrhod whispers, "I am letting him hang himself"

Achillea says, "wizards can make water"

Arianiss asks, "Thurfel can be grilled just as easily Iscikella. Are you hoping Thulevier is going to slip up?"

Mnar says, "They were among the most powerful mages in the world, Iscikella, I think they could manage both."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Rats can be liquidated. Air can be conjured through the elements."

You say, "Arianiss, I spoke with Thurfel earlier and asked many things."

Vonka shudders.

Arianiss says, "I know what kind of questions you would have asked him."

Arianiss folds his arms over his chest.

Junis chuckles.

You say, "I doubt it."

You look at Arianiss and shake your head.

Elendr weeps softly, quiet tears falling from his eyes.

You glance at Elendr.

Arianiss says, "That's the second time you've made a comment you know to be false."

You ask, "How were the vessels placed outside the tomb?"

(Elendr tilts his head down into his arms.)

Aranrhod blinks at Elendr.

Achillea rubs Elendr gently.

Arianiss mutters something about women.

Mnar asks, "Whose idea was it to become liches?"

You blink at Arianiss.

Mnar says, "That can't have gone over well."

Tzuriz nods to Mnar.

Achillea pokes Arianiss in the ribs.

Arianiss asks, "What? I wouldn't take offense to being told that maybe I don't live here?"

Arianiss peers quizzically at you.

You whisper quietly to Arianiss, "I don't think ye know what I asked him honestly."

Achillea says, "whats being woman got to do with it"

Achillea scowls at Arianiss.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Conjured, while we were still strong enough to touch the world briefly. We could force one person through the wards, but everything was a challenge after."

Arianiss whispers, "..and above anyone else, I probably have the best guess given our history. ..but I guess that counts for nothing in the long run."

Arianiss folds his arms over his chest.

(Vonka goes over to the corner and sits down, drawing up her knees and resting her head on them.)

Arianiss says, "Nothing, since I'm engaged to Odevalis."

Arianiss gives Achillea a good pinch!

You whisper quietly to Arianiss, "Ye hurt me by insisting the liches hurt no one when they kill me constantly."

Elendr says, "I just love how some of you can so easily dismiss and make light of what these poor beings had to go through for such a long period of time. It makes me weak to realize just how much some of you really care."

Achillea begins chuckling at Arianiss.

(Elendr shakes his head, burying his face into his arms once more.)

Arianiss whispers, "They kill you. They kill Ilvane. They kill the people here. They haven't killed me. They haven't killed the entire town. They kill only those attempting to interfere with them."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "We all knew how. We were not desperate enough until our power began to wane."

You whisper quietly to Arianiss, " They have killed randomly in Town Centre and other places."

Mnar asks, "Why not just give in? Was death such a horrible prospect?"

You ask, "Who set the vessels outside? And wouldn't that one know where they were?"

Arianiss whispers, "When antagonized."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I was the first, after what I saw what he did. I will stay this way forever if I have to, to see him dead."

Valdirn rubs Vonka gently.

You whisper quietly to Arianiss, "That isn't true either."

Achillea asks, "Thulevier I have a question myself, the first time Thurfel started tinkering with the tomb, was he trying to break the wards, or strenghen them?"

Arianiss whispers, "It's very true."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I do not know. When we transformed, the wards were far stronger against us. We could barely even see the world anymore."

Arianiss whispers, "They aren't as dangerous as many say they are. I don't fear them."

Achillea furrows her brow.

You whisper quietly to Arianiss, "Well, I have reason to."

Aranrhod looks rather confused.

Arianiss says, "The cemetary is something of a holy area."

Arianiss says, "You turned from living to undead, and.. well.."

Achillea peers quizzically at Arianiss.

Arianiss says, "It's a clerical thing."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "The vessels were flung out through the tomb through magic. It is hard to see where they might land, and we did not care. We thought they would be our gateway to the world again."

Arianiss says, "Arimantis knows what I mean."

Arimantis rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Arianiss grins at Arimantis.

Achillea says something in guild speak.

Arimantis grins at Arianiss.

Junis shakes his head.

Achillea gives Arianiss a little prod between the shoulder blades.

Arianiss coughs.

Arianiss blushes a lovely shade of bright pink.

Arimantis glances at Achillea.

Arimantis grins.

You ask, "and when yer own is found, ye know is yers by a pulse of energy or some such?"

Arianiss says something in guild speak.

Arianiss grins.

Achillea asks something in guild speak.

Junis says, "Iscikella, they all made them, I think they could recognize them, they do seem to look different."

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "Mine is in my hands. When the living touch it, we remember."

You ask, "So only if touched by the living?"

Arianiss says something in guild speak.

Vonka asks, "Thulevier, would der be anyt'in udder den Thurfel dyin' dat'd make yer happy?"

Mnar asks, "Would you give yours up, if that's what it took to destroy Thurfel?"

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "He is the one who made me this way. He is the one that will give me rest."

Arianiss says something in guild speak.

You say, "Ye were made this way by yer choice after yer entombment."

Aranrhod fidgets.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "I would, should it be a guarantee of his death."

Mnar nods.

Achillea squints at you.

Vonka glances at Mnar.

You say, "Well, is true, Achillea."

Mnar says, "We may hold you to that."

Arianiss says, "They became liches after Thurfel was released."

Skyfawn asks, "and they had another choice Iscikella?"

Achillea says, "what a choice"

Arianiss says, "Thurfel's betrayel is most likely why they pressed so hard to become a lich."

Achillea stares at you.

You say, "yes, to go in peace."

You say, "they had a choice."

Arianiss says, "Revenge is a powerful thing."

Elendr winces.

Achillea says, "not peace without avenging their betrayor"

Junis asks, "Peace? Trapped in the tomb of against your will?"

You say, "Revenge is also a thing that consumes all under it."

Tzuriz asks, "Since you made the vessels, lemme ask ya...Thurfel claims to want 'em so as to take away your power, but could he later use them somehow to make himself more powerful? or are they only useful to their original owners?"

You say, "Everything in its path."

You say, "It is not a thing to be pursued."

Mnar nods to Tzuriz.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "You see the dead and burned corpses of your friends, family, and betrothed splayed across your own home like discarded and mangled toys! Then you may tell me that I had a CHOICE."

You say, "All around it is destroyed by it."

Achillea says, "well you wish evenge yourself, Iscikella, best be careful it don't consume you"

You say, "Ye had a choice."

Vonka shudders.

Vonka whimpers.

Vonka buries her face in her hands.

You say, "I wish no revenge."

Arianiss asks, "So it's his fault for not being perfect?"

Arianiss scowls at you.

Arimantis sighs.

Valdirn just kissed Vonka on the cheek.

Mnar says, "Let's not forget that Thulevier's intentions are not necessarily those of the rest of the liches..."

Arianiss says, "Well hell, might as well condemn me too.. I know I've made some pretty crappy choices in my lifetimes."

Tzuriz nods to Mnar.

Achillea says, "oh? you saying you wish Elymir to burn is not a thirst for revenge? you lie yet again"

Achillea smiles at you.

Elendr grits his teeth.

Junis asks, "And you have a choice Iscikella, you and all the other possessed, you could destroy yourselves, but will you?"

You say, "I wouldn't pursue it."

Vonka just hugged Valdirn.

An insidious whisper rises up around you, "You are fortunate I have a modicum of temperance, or else you would be among the burned now. I return to the ground and the dead, else I may not be able to restrain myself."

You say, "I certainly wouldn't pursue it after death."

A shadow passes across the floor, then disappears.

Vonka says, "G'night, Thulevier."

Arianiss says, "Enjoy your rest Thulevier. Words to think on."
